All Czech Feather and Down Company products are individually handcrafted, as they once were in the small, close-knit communities of Czechoslovakia. The art of pillow and comforter making has been handed down through the generations, from family to family. No two items are alike and each one is an individual expression and reflection of the person who created it. Many of the arts and crafts once commonplace in agricultural villages have all but disappeared. But here in Cedar Rapids, in the heartland of America, this European art has been thriving for over 100 years. The artistry and quality found in our handmade comforters and pillows simply could not be duplicated in mass production settings.
